A clean, happy dog by lunch.

A small grooming parlour in Claremont. One groomer per dog, no cages, and done in about two hours.

Book a groom

Takes a minute. You pay after the groom, never before.

  • No cages, ever
  • Pay after, not before

Every groom includes

No add-on menu to decode. Whichever groom you book, your dog gets all of this, done by one person.

  • Two warm washes

A gentle first wash lifts the dirt, the second cleans the skin. Oatmeal shampoo unless your vet says otherwise.

  • A low, quiet dry

A towel first, then a quiet dryer on low heat. Never a cage dryer, never left alone.

  • The cut you asked for

Scissors and clippers to the look you chose at drop-off. A photo helps; so does 'just shorter'.

  • Nails and paw pads

Nails clipped and filed smooth, the fur between the pads trimmed so floors are not an ice rink.

  • Ears cleaned

A soft wipe and a check. If anything looks sore we tell you, and suggest the vet.

  • Teeth brushed

A quick brush with a dog-safe paste. Fresher kisses, at least until supper.

  • A bandana and a photo

A clean bandana if they like one, and a photo sent to you before you collect.

Owners say it better

What regulars tell us after collection, mostly while their dog does a lap of the waiting room.

  • Biscuit used to hide under the bed on grooming day. Now he pulls me up the lane. They let him sniff everything first and it made all the difference.
    Naledi, with Biscuit, Maltese cross
  • Two hours, as promised, and a photo before I got there. His cut was exactly the picture I showed them.
    Pieter, with Rolo, miniature schnauzer
  • Our old girl has sore hips. They groomed her lying down on a mat and never rushed her. I cried a little.
Amira, with Hazel, cocker spaniel, 13
  • Paying after the groom sounds small but it told me they were sure of their work. They were right to be.
    Jonathan, with Pepper, Yorkie
  • The de-shed saved my couch. A full bin bag of undercoat, and she came out soft as a cushion.
    Lerato, with Bella, Labrador

A small Yorkshire terrier sitting on the grooming table

Named after a rescue Yorkie

Mossie came from a shelter in Muizenberg in 2016,a tiny Yorkie so matted she could barely see.Nobody nearby would groom her without a sedative.

So our founder learnt to do it herself, slowly,on a towel on the kitchen table, with a lot of breaks and a lot of biscuits.

Friends asked, then their friends. The parlour opened in 2019 with one rule from that table:no cages, no rushing, one dog at a time.Book a groom

Questions owners ask us first

  • No. One groomer works with your dog from start to finish, and the waiting corner is a bed and a water bowl, not a crate. That is the main reason a groom takes about two hours, not a whole day.

  • A bath and tidy takes about an hour for a small dog, a full groom about two. The price picker above shows the time for your dog. We text you a collection time when we start.

  • Yes, and nervous dogs are most of our regulars. We start with a sniff around, go slowly, and stop for breaks. If a dog is truly frightened we stop, and you pay nothing.

  • Tell us when you book. We plan for it with a calm room and a second pair of hands. We never use sedation; if a groom is not safe without it, we will say so and suggest your vet.

  • Yes. Bring the card on your first visit, or send a photo of it when you book. Puppies can come from two weeks after their second set.

  • After the groom, when you have seen your dog. Card, tap or cash at the counter. No deposit, and no fee if you move a booking with a day's notice.

  • For a first visit, you are welcome to stay for the first ten minutes. Most dogs settle faster once their person has gone for a coffee, so we will text you when they are done.
