Mossie & Co. is a fictional business made for a design portfolio. This page shows what the real page would say. No personal information is collected by this concept site: the booking form is a dry run and sends nothing.
Who is responsible
Mossie & Co. is the responsible party for the personal information described here, under the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA). The Information Officer is the owner, reachable on 021 000 7712 or at the parlour. Full business details are on the legal notice.
What we collect
When you book a groom
Your name and mobile number, your dog's name, size, coat and any notes you give us (health, temperament, the look you want), and the day and time you choose.
About your dog
A photo of the vaccination card, and grooming notes from each visit, so the next groom starts where the last one ended. We send you before-and-after photos; we only post them anywhere if you say yes.
When you pay
Card payments are processed by our card machine provider. We keep the slip and the amount for tax records, never your full card number.
When you visit this website
Our host keeps short technical logs (IP address, browser, pages requested) to keep the site secure. They are deleted within 30 days.
Why we use it, and on what basis

We never use your number for marketing unless you ask us to, and we never sell or rent it.
Who we share it with
- Our booking and SMS provider, to hold the slot and send the text
- Your vet, only if you ask us to, or in an emergency involving your dog
- Our website host, card machine provider, bank and accountant
Some of these store data outside South Africa. We only use providers bound by laws or agreements that protect it as well as POPIA does (section 72).
How long we keep it
- Booking details and grooming notes: 24 months after your last visit, then deleted.
- Payment and tax records: five years, as tax law requires.
- Website logs: up to 30 days.
Cookies
This website sets no tracking or advertising cookies and runs no analytics. The booking form needs no cookie to work. If that ever changes we will ask first and list each cookie here.
Your rights
You may ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and object to how we use it. Call 021 000 7712 or ask at the counter. If you are not happy with our answer you may complain to the Information Regulator (inforeg.org.za, POPIAComplaints@inforegulator.org.za). Requests for records are covered by our PAIA manual.
